About Doug's Headers

Founded in 1958, Doug's Headers has expanded into a respected manufacturer of performance exhaust parts for muscle cars and drag racing applications. The company has been elected to 5 different drag racing halls of fame. Driven by the idea that the customer, no matter where they live in the world such as Canada should only have to install the headers, not modify them to fit the car, the experts at Doug's Headers create parts that can be trusted for perfect fit and quality.

Header development takes place in their 40,000 sq. ft. facility in Irwindale, California. Doug's headers are designed for specific models and built to ensure the right tube size and length to remove exhaust gases from each cylinder with maximum efficiency, reducing pumping losses and providing real-world increases in power and torque. Doug's auto parts, such as their headers, manifolds, pipes, and more ideal not only for muscle cars, race cars, and street rods, but also for Honda, Subaru, Ford and more.

To ensure a longer lifespan and extra strength, each header is made using heavy gauge tubing and features stitch welded ports. Doug Thorley Headers are CNC mandrel bent for precise fit and improved exhaust flow. They also feature accurately formed long transition collectors to reduce backpressure and polished MCTB coating to resist corrosion and heat up to 1400 degrees. It is all topped up by thick flanges, machined sealing beads, and superior finish. Doug's headers are subjected to a number of tests during the design and manufacturing process. Each set of headers includes all the necessary mounting hardware.
